The new Code Geass feature film landed back in February 2019 in Japan with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection and the UK release for home video is getting settled. With the North American release from Funimation out previously, Anime Limited has picked up the rights to it, which was a given after releasing the trilogy that they did recently. They’re looking at a 2020 release with formal details to come, but we expect it’ll be similar to other English-language releases in that the extras include:
- Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection: A Casual Conversation with Donald Shults & Elizabeth Maxwell
- Visual Commentary
- Commercials

The English cast for this includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Lelouch vi Britannia, Kate Higgins as C.C., Yuri Lowenthal as Suzaku Kururugi, Christopher R. Sabat as Bitool, Elizabeth Maxwell as Shamna, Gabe Kunda as Qujappat, Jared GIlmore as Shalio, Karen Strassman as Kallen Kozuki, Kim Mai Guest as Sayoko Shinozaki, Liam O’Brien as Lloyd Asplund, Patrick Seitz as Forgner, Rebecca Forstadt as Nunnally vi Britannia, and Rich Sommer as Shesthaal.
The project brings back a lot of familiar names with Goro Taniguchi directing based on the screenplay by Ichiro Okouchi. Working from CLAMP’s original character designs, Takahiro Kimura will be handling that area while Sunrise is on the animation production. The project comes after wrapping up the recap film trilogy this past May and we should have most of the (surviving) cast return for this edition of it.
The previously announced new cast includes Ayumu Murase as Shario, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shesutaaru, Wataru Takagi as Bituru, Keiko Toda as Shamuna, Akio Ohtsuka as Fōgunaa, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Kujapatto
The original TV series premiere in 2006 with a sequel run in 2008. A spinoff OVA series began in 2012 that ran for several years with Akito the Exiled.
