We learned last fall that a new Netflix anime series is in production with a ten-episode project based on the novel Japan Sinks, aka Nihon Chinbotsu. It’s set for a worldwide 2020 debut with plans for the summer. That’s now been updated with the drop of a new trailer for it (check out the US and Japanese versions below) that has revealed a July 9th, 2020 debut.

The Japanese cast includes:

It has Masaaki Yuasa directing it and animation production handled by Science SARU. The scripts are coming from Toshio Yoshitaka with Pyeon-Gang Ho listed as the series director. Naoya Wada is on board with the character designs.
