One of my favorite series from the past few years on Netflix is the first German original series that they invested in with Dark. The show was like a quiet little horror story at first before it expanded and revealed itself, leaving fans at the end of the first season really hoping that a sequel was in the works. With the second part out last year and revealed to be a trilogy, the third and final part of the cycle has now been given a June 27th, 2020 debut and an announcement trailer has arrived.
I cannot recommend this series enough.
Plot Concept: When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids. The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town’s troubled history — whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986.
