The story focuses on high school student Akira Natsume. Only his brain is saved when he is involved in a traffic accident, and it later becomes part of an advanced weapon.

We learned back in December 2018 that some new science fiction anime is in our future as the EX-ARM manga has been slotted for an adaptation. The twelfth volume of the manga from Shinya Komi and HiRock is set for a summer 2020 debut but details are still light on it. The latest bit to arrive is the creation of the programming page for it on YTV where they’ve provided for a new and expanded story concept below.

The manga began in 2015 and has fourteen volumes to date.

Plot Concept: In 2014, a high school boy Akira Natsume who seemingly dies in an accident, however when he woke up the time becomes 2030 and his brain is placed inside a superweapon called “Ex-Arm No.00”.

Akira decided to cooperate with the police’s EX-ARM countermeasure division in order to regain his body and lost memories.

On the other hand, the police reach inside Akira’s brain and the scraps of his memory. It shows that there was a “Fake Akira” (Ex-Arm No.11) who almost destroyed the whole Tokyo city 10 years ago….

What is Ex-Arm actually? What on earth happened to Akira? Can he really get his memory and body back?
