‘Duel Masters King’ Anime Series Sets Broadcast Return

With the current Duel Masters! anime series underway since April 5th, 2020 under the name Duel Masters King, it was put on hold back on April 26th due to the COVID-19 pandemic and production delays that were coming out. The production has now revealed that they’ll be back with the fifth episode and new material going forward as of May 31st, 2020 with everything still in place.

The current series has Hiroshi Ishiodori directing based on the scripts from Yoichi Kato. Yasuyuki Noda is handling the character designs with Brains Base and Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment (SMDE) working on the animation for the production.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Joe Kirifuda, the son of the previous protagonist Katta Kirifuda. In the show’s story, the balance of the Creature World is starting to crumble. A talking deck case named Decky comes to the human world to search for a Duel Master to preserve equilibrium. There he sees Joe’s power to create creatures.
