Right Stuf Schedules Bilingual ‘Gundam Build Divers’ Anime Blu-ray release

The show is now getting some new distribution with a home video release scheduled.

The next expansion in the Gundam Build Fighters and the Try franchise got underway with the spring 2018 multi-cour project called Gundam Build Divers. The show is now getting some new distribution as Right Stuf has revealed that they’ll be bring it out on Blu-ray similar to how they have other Sunrise releases from the franchise. The distributor has a planned September 1st, 2020 debut for it where it’ll be a bilingual release. It’ll be priced at $74.99 and contain the two-cour run clocking in at 575 minutes.

Extras include: Prologue Episode, Clean Openings, Clean Endings, Yukki’s Gunpla Review PV, Shahryar’s TV Warning, Build Divers Gunpla Commercials, and Blu-ray Commercials.

Shinya Watada is directing it based on the series composition by Noboru Kimura. Kazuhiro Hara did the original character designs with Juri Today adapting them. Check out the promo below as well as the hour-long press conference in full.

The Japanese cast includes Yuusuke Kobayashi as Riku Mikami, Natsumi Fujiwara as Yukio Hidaka, Nene Hieda as Momo, Haruka Terui as Sarah, Jun Kasama as Kyouya Kujou, and Show Hayami as Ronman.

Plot Concept: Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN) is a new network game that lets people enjoy a variety of missions using Gunpla in a virtual cyberspace dimension. Middle-school students Riku Mikami and Yukio Hidaka dive together into this vast world, and Momoka Yashiro, their soccer friend, decides she wants to join in as well! Becoming “Divers,” or inhabitants of GBN, they meet a mysterious girl named Sarah who has an amazing sensitivity to Gunpla. They begin playing alongside her, but…

There are many other famous Divers, starting with Kyoya Kujo, the champion whom Riku admires. Multiple Divers can join to form a team called a “force.” Meanwhile, the game is disrupted by Mass-Divers who use unofficial tools called Break Decals. Through many encounters and experiences, Riku and his friends will build not only Gunpla, but their own adventures as well!
