Yen Press Acquires ‘High School DxD’ Light Novels

1 min read
With a few anime seasons out and lots of manga, it's time to go back to the pure source for a release.

After releasing a lot of the manga over the last couple of years, Yen Press has now pulled the trigger and has picked up the High School DxD light novel series. The books come from writer Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero which began in 2008 and wrapped up its first series run in 2018 with something like twenty-five books with a few specials in the mix.

Yen Press has their first volume planned but not solicited yet for October 2020 and if we luck out with three volumes a year, which is an aggressive light novel translation schedule, we’ll have a lot of good reading ahead of us in the years to come.

Plot Concept: Most of Issei Hyoudou’s perverted life has been filled with dreams about having a harem, so it’s not a great sign when one of his dates ends with his murder! He’s fortunate enough to be revived by a beautiful girl, but his luck ends after he discovers his school is filled to the brim with deadly angels and demons!
