The adventurous, treasure-loving master thief Lupin the Third is at it again!

Discotek Media picked up the rights to the release of the Lupin III: Legend of the Gold of Babylon feature film a few years ago at Otakon 2017 and worked to bring out a newly dubbed version of it. Now, the film is getting some expanded distribution as the RetroCrush app has added the property to its catalog, giving fans a new way to check out this classic Lupin work.

Originally out in the summer of 1986, it previously saw release by AnimEigo on VHS and AnimEigo in 1994 where it used the name Rupan due to copyright concerns.

Plot Concept: Lupin searches for a gigantic hoard of hidden treasure originating in ancient Babylon, with the help of his usual team, a set of stone tablets, and a drunken old woman by the name of Rosetta. Complicating matters is Inspector Zenigata, who has been roped into judging the “Miss ICPO Beauty Contest” and must now drag a group of nominees around with him, all eager to prove themselves as agents.
