The TV side of the Hunter x Hunter franchise has just about wrapped up its North American release and now we’re seeing someone else get into the game. Madman Entertainment put out a solicitation for their first set for Australian audiences with a planned August 5th, 2020 debut – which they then delayed until September 2020 likely due to the pandemic and cascading effects. The distributor has said that their releases will be done in less volumes that Viz Media’s release as they’re doing two cour per set whereas Viz shifted to that about halfway through their run.

The first twenty-six episode will be part of next month’s formal solicitation but it’ll be a bilingual release with the intent of bringing out a set a month since the whole property has been dealt with in English already.

Plot Concept: Titans collide as the strongest of the Hunters faces the strongest of the Chimera Ants! It’s Chairman Netero versus the King in a battle so powerful it shakes the foundations of the planet and threatens the very heavens! Then the entire Hunter Organization gathers to make an important decision, including Gon’s father! Will he finally meet his dad?
