The 2019 anime release of the Girls’ Frontline mini anime is resulting in the home video releases finally being set for it. The second set with the Girls’ Frontline Mini Anime: Dorufuro -Kyoran Hen- season is now set for a June 17th, 2020 debut where its limited-edition Blu-ray only release will be priced at 5,500 yen. The twelve-episode set doesn’t have any on-disc extras listed at the moment beyond a trailer for the show.
The short-form series based on the Chinese app game was directed by Akumaborosi based on the series composition by Yu Zhong. BigFireBird Animation handled the production.
The Japanese cast includes Haruka Tomatsu as M4A1, Emiri Katō as ST AR-15, Yukari Tamura as M4 SOPMOD II, Nozomi Yamane as M16A1, Ai Nonaka as 416, Ayaka Fukuhara as Gr G11, Mamiko Noto as UMP9, and Tomomi Mineuchi as UMP45.
Plot Concept: The series re-imagines famous firearms as moe girls with machine bodies that are known as T-Dolls.
