With a lot of excitement this past week about Discotek Media picking up the Blu-ray rights for the three-part story that makes up the film Memories that has been released a couple of times over the years in the US and abroad, streaming continues to expand. The folks at RetroCrush have now added the film to their own streaming service which at the moment is through their app only.
The Blu-ray release from Discotek is undated at the moment but will be done in 1080p and will be getting a new translation done for the subtitles. The release will come with a few extras, including a ‘Making of Memories’ Featurette, the pilot films for Magnetic Rose, Stink Bomb, and Cannon Fodder and Interviews with Katsuhiro Otomo, Koji Morimoto and Tensai Okamura that we’ve seen before. It also looks like we’ll be getting an animated storyboard sequence for the Cannon Fodder piece along with translation and liner notes.
The big news, however, is that it’s getting an all-new English dub. Details of that will be coming later.
