While current and upcoming anime productions may be exerperiencing a shutdown and calendars are being rewritten constantly, new works are getting the green light. One of those is an adaptation of the web manga series Iwa-Kakeru! -Sport Climbing Girls-. The project is directed by Tetsuro Amino based on the scripts by Touko Machida. Yoshihiro Watanabe is working on the character designs with studio BLADE handling the production of the animation.
The Japanese cast includes:
- Sumire Uesaka as Konomi Kasahara
- Yui Ishikawa as Jun Uehara
- Aina Suzuki as Sayo Yotsuba
- Miyu Tomita as Nonoaka Sugiura
The manga from Ryudai Ishizaka began in 2017 and has two volumes released digitally so far.
