The fall 2019 anime adaptation of the novel series from Mado Nozaki called Babylon debuted on Tokyo MX on October 7th, 2019 while also getting streaming through Amazon Prime in Japan. The home video side was previously firmed up with VAP handling it and they’re going the box set route. The show was set for a March 18th, 2020 arrival where it’ll be priced at 26,000 yen for the twelve-episode run but the broadcast delay for the final batch of episodes had the set moved to an April 22nd, 2020 release date, which is pretty good overall. We’ve had some teases for the set overall with packaging before and got the finalized cover recently but now we’ve got a look at the full spread for it that’s really quite distinctive and appealing.
At the moment, it lists a booklet, clean opening, and clean closing as the primary inclusion pieces. Different retailers will have different chase items.
Kiyotaka Suzuki is directing it with Keisuke Goto on board as the character designer. Revoroot is still on board for animation production. The show is now set for an October 2019 debut with Amazon Prime Video streaming worldwide.
The Japanese cast includes Yuichi Nakamura as Zen Seizaki, Takahiro Sakurai as Shinobu Kujiin, Kensho Ono as Atsuhiko Fumio, M.A.O as Hiasa Sekuro, and Kenyu Horiuchi as Yasutaka Morinaga.
The novel series kicked off in 2015 and has three volumes out so far. Mado Nozaki isn’t a well-known name from the light novel side but he’s been involved in a few projects including the script for the KADO series.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Zen Seizaki, a prosecutor with the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors’ Office. While investigating illegal acts by a certain pharmaceutical company, Seizaki stumbles across a conspiracy over an election for an autonomous “new zone” established in western Tokyo.
