The summer period for anime is in an interesting state of flux. Often, we see the month of July as a pretty good one for high-profile home video releases because distributors want to sell them at high-traffic conventions like Anime Expo and SDCC as well as Otakon. While these conventions are still listed as happening, a lot depends on how the COVID-19 pandemic plays out still. But the distributors are likely locking in their release slates with the hopes that there will be conventions.
