One of the best things to come out of 2018’s really enjoyable Arrowverse crossover was seeing Elizabeth Tulloch take on the role of Lois Lane and get some expanded time with Tyler Hoechlin, who had taken on the role earlier in 2016 as Warner Bros. loosened its grip on the character for the TV side.
With The CW developing a new project with Superman & Lois for the fall 2020 season. The usual names are involved with Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti with Helbing writing the pilot for the potential next hourlong drama. and a series order in place, the show has been moving forward with pre-production work and additional casting beyond what was known before.
With the recent addition of Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, the series has now added Erik Valdez to play her husband in Kyle Cushing. According to the logline info, Valdez’s Cushing is Smallville’s fire chief and local hero who’s seen his fair share of tragedy. Small town raised with small-town beliefs, Kyle doesn’t care much for the big city and often butts heads with people that come from it.
The first season has a thirteen-episode order that goes into production once things resume after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Plot Concept: Superman & Lois revolves around the world’s most famous Super Hero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society.
