Marvel Studios Reschedules Upcoming Film Slate

2 min read

While I don’t expect to see a lot of new dates for other films that are currently being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Marvel has enough in the pipeline that they can readjust things and it should work out well. All of it is basically just being bumped back in schedule by one film, which in turn connects with the previously talked about 2022 debut of Captain Marvel 2. The loss of the May 1st, 2020 release date for Black Widow is what gets it underway and pushes it back to the fall, marking only one new Marvel film this year.

The schedule through summer 2022 now stands with:

  • BLACK WIDOW (Disney) is now dated on 11/6/20
  • THE ETERNALS (Disney) previously dated on 11/6/20 moves to 2/12/21
  • SHANG CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS (Disney) previously dated on 2/12/21 moves to 5/7/21
  • DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (Disney) previously dated on 5/7/21 moves to 11/5/21
  • THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER (Disney) previously dated on 11/5/21 moves to 2/18/22
  • UNTITLED MARVEL (Disney) previously dated on 2/18/22 is removed from schedule
  • CAPTAIN MARVEL 2 (Disney) is the updated title of previous UNTITLED MARVEL dated on 7/29/22, and moves to 7/8/22
