Mary proved she is no one to be trifled with in her victory of the Speed Dating game. One which was heavily stacked against her. Unfortunately for Mary, her time spent celebrating her massive win is short-lived. Before she can spread her money across her bed and roll in it ala Scrooge McDuck style, the next curveball comes knocking on her door.

She has been summoned by the Treasurer, Aoi, to a meeting. Surprisingly, the meeting turns out to be a welcoming party to an underground group of losers run in secret by Aoi and his fiancé, Sakura. This group wants to unseat the existing student council so they can eliminate the house pet rule. Normally, it would be pretty cool to be cheered on by a bunch of fellow classmates, but this situation is extremely dangerous. If Mary sides with this group and the student council discover and tries to crush the group, then Mary goes down with them. On the other hand, if Mary becomes a member and then sells them out to the student council, that could get her on the good side of the “winners”.

Either way, Sakura won’t agree to Mary joining out of the blue unless she can win in a gambling match between them. This is where it gets really interesting. A neutral third party needs to be the judge, and shockingly a member of the student council agrees to it. Sachiko is the head of the Public Morals Committee and already has taken a liking to Mary. Well, not in a friendly way, but in she wants Mary to be her personal house pet kind of way.

Sachiko comes up with a complicated game of treasure hunt for Mary and Sakura to pitch their wits in. If Mary loses, she can never be allowed onto the committee of the underground group gunning for the student council members. If Sakura loses, she just loses face…or so she believes. Who will come out victorious and is there a greater underlying loss of status or rank for either loser than what shows on the surface?

In Summary:
Mary has found herself in a difficult position at this school. If she loses too much, she becomes a house pet and basically a slave to the rest of the student body. If she wins too much, she gets the attention of the upper echelon of students. That attention will likely cause more trouble than it’s worth. So, at this point, she needs to either go for winning it all and becoming the ruler of the school or win just enough to keep normal status and not enough to catch the eye of any of the elite. That may prove to be more difficult than one would think.
