We learned just about a month ago that the kids morning variety show Oha-suta is getting another segment that will bring some fun anime to it with Obake Zukan.  The “video adaptation” as it’s being listed as is set to premiere during the April 8th installment of the variety show while the anime side of it will come out with the July 1st, 2020 installment.

Nana Mizuki is starring in both versions as Bonyan and will be performing the theme song as well. Now, the site has revealed that Daiki Yamashita has joined in to take on the role of Hiroshi for it.

The property is based on the picture book series from Hiroshi Saito and Etsuyoshi Miyamoto that began in 2013 and has nineteen volumes of so far.

Naomi Iwata is directing the anime series from scripts by Shigenori Tanabe with Fanworks handling the production.

Property concept: The Obake Zukan series illustrates various monsters and spirits and explains why they are scary.
