2 min read
The film follows youths living in "the now and present" in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011.

Last year saw the Hakubo anime feature film from Yutaka Yamamoto that was crowdfunded. The film saw a wide June 21st, 2019 debut and now the home video release plans are being set. We had put up the basic information when it hit retail listings recently but it looks like some of the information was a placeholder. The film was originally scheduled for an April 20th, 2020 debut but now it’s been updated with an April 30th, 2020 release date. The price has also been added as it’ll be 6,380 yen. No extras are solicited with the release as of this time.

With Yamamoto doing the original script and direction, Sunao Chikaoka is on board as the character designer for it and Twilight studio being listed as handling the animation.

The cast for the film includes Kana Hanazawa, Kaori Fukuhara, and Sumi Shimamoto along with Hiyori Sakurada as Sachi Koyama, Seichirō Katō as Yūsuke Kijinami, Hiro Shimono, and Ayane Sakura.
