The fall 2019 original anime series Hoshiai no Sora, aka Stars Align, had a solid run during its original simulcast where Funimation also brought out a simuldub for it. That simulcast ended up on Hulu quickly but it’s only now that they’ve added the full dubbed version of the series to the service, giving fans a choice to watch it. And one more thing to binge – especially for anyone who needs a little bit of fresh sports material.

The opening theme song is “Suisou” by Megumi Nakajima and the ending theme song is “Kago no Naka no Bokura wa” by AIKI from bless4.

It’s being produced with studio 8-Bit as a new original work with Kazuki Akane directing it and writing the scripts while Yuichi Takahashi is working on the character designs based on Itsuka’s original work. Takahashi is also serving as the animation director for the project as well.

The Japanese cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Maki Katsuragi, Tasuku Hatanaka as Toma Shinjo, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Jun Ameno, Gen Sato plays Rintarō Futsu, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Tsubasa Soga, Keisuke Sato as Shingo Takenouchi, Yūsuke Kobayashi as Nao Tsukinose, and Kōhei Amasaki as Taiyō Ishigami.

Plot Concept: Toma Shinjo has a dilemma: he wants to save his school’s soft tennis club before it’s shut down! He seeks the help of Maki Katsuragi, a reluctant student with natural talent and other priorities. It’s going to be their last summer together as a team unless they all find a way to work together to save the club!
