The anime adaptation of the Plunderer manga from Suu Minazuki got its first cour underway with a January 8th, 2020 debut and is set to get the next part underway on April 1st, 2020. The series, which is simulcast and simuldubbed by Funimation, is now showing off what to expect from the new cour with a nearly two-minute promo that give us a taste of the new opening theme as well. The series is directed by Hiroyuki Kanbe based on the scripts overseen by Masashi Suzuki. Yuka Takashina and Hiroki Fukuda are working on the character designs with studio Geek Toys handling the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Yoshiki Nakajima as Licht Bach, Rina Honnizumi as Hina, Ari Ozawa as Lynn May, Aoi Ichikawa as Pele, Yuichiro Umehara as Jail Murdoch, Shizuka Itou as Nana, and Aoi Yūki will play Mizuki Sonohara.
The English cast includes Eric Vale as Licht Bach, Sarah Wiedenheft as Hina, Elizabeth Maxwell as Lynn May, and Austin Tindle as Pele Popolo.
Miku Itō performed the opening theme song “Plunderer” while Rina Honnizumi will perform the ending theme song “Countless Days” for the first cour. The second cour features the opening theme song “Koko no Hikari Lonely Dark” by Miku Ito while the ending theme song is don’t in-character with “Reason of Life” Hina (Rina Honnizumi), Lyne (Ari Ozawa), and Nana (Shizuka Itou).
The manga from Suu Minazuki began in 2014 and has twelve volumes out so far. Yen Press is releasing it in English.

Plot Concept: It’s the year 305 of the Alcian calendar, and the world is controlled by numbers.
