Last year saw the Hakubo anime feature film from Yutaka Yamamoto that was crowdfunded. The film saw a wide June 21st, 2019 debut and now the home video release plans are being set. The film is scheduled for an April 20th, 2020 debut and the packaging for it has been added to Japanese retail solicitations. No pricing is available yet and the listings don’t include any extras.
With Yamamoto doing the original script and direction, Sunao Chikaoka is on board as the character designer for it and Twilight studio being listed as handling the animation.
The cast for the film includes Kana Hanazawa, Kaori Fukuhara, and Sumi Shimamoto along with Hiyori Sakurada as Sachi Koyama, Seichirō Katō as Yūsuke Kijinami, Hiro Shimono, and Ayane Sakura.

Plot Concept: The film follows youths living in “the now and present” in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of March 11, 2011.
