The Project Anima site revealed back in August 2019 the title for their new project with Sacks&Guns!!, which was to make its debut in 2020. The official site for it has now updated to reveal that the series is being pushed back to 2021 as all sorts of cascading delays are being factored into a lot of projects and this was likely the safer ber. Check out some released character designs sketches below.

The project is based on a runner-up novel submission and a visual was released for it above and the main staffing and initial casting. As we knew then, Junichi Wada will direct with Yuji Iwahara as the character designer. Satelight is handling the animation production for it.

The Japanese cast includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga and Hikaru Midorikawa from the initial announcement and now after an extensive search, it was revealed that Kanon Obata is taking on the role of Memenpu. There were some 1,400 people auditioning for the role and Obata, a college student, made the top group before finally winning out.

Check out the official site and Twitter.
