Content (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers):
It’s the night before the festival and Class 1-A are gearing up for the big performance. Spirits are high after all the hard work they’ve put in – all that’s left is to shake off the nerves and have fun. Unfortunately for Midoriya, playtime will have to wait…the gentleman thief approaches.

The next morning, Midoriya does some last minute training with All Might. Hatsume appears out of the blue once again, with Midoriya’s new hero tools in tow. It’s an hour before the festival and Midoriya runs to a convenience store near the school to grab some supplies for the dance team. On his way out, he bumps into a mysterious couple leaving the café next door. Their encounter could have easily been avoided, but the allure of Golden Tips Imperial tea is too strong for Gentle. It only takes a moment for them to realize the situation. Midoriya knows that U.A. is on high alert – with the school festival on the line, he has to stop Gentle right here and now. Gentle’s plan has been foiled and he has no choice but to stave off the student standing between him and internet stardom.

The nature of Gentle’s elasticity quirk is revealed – anything he touches gains a rubbery quality to it. Gentle’s plan has turned from stealth mission to time attack, as he repels Deku and makes a mad dash for U.A. But Deku won’t let him go quietly. Everything is riding on this – Class 1-A’s performance, all of their hard work, Eri’s excited anticipation, all of it will come crashing down if he doesn’t stop Gentle. Using his newly-equipped support gloves, Deku takes aim and blasts Gentle with his Air Force attack. But it’s not enough to stop the fame-fueled gentleman.

Deku stays in hot pursuit, cornering Gentle in a nearby construction site. Here we see Gentle’s elasticity at full power as he swiftly rebounds around his rubberized fortress. In a last-ditch effort to subdue the hero, Gentle puts a nearby civilian in danger, forcing Deku to rescue the old man from a falling steel beam. But Deku’s tenacity won’t let Gentle have his way. Holding the beam with one arm, he takes another air shot at Gentle. Gentle’s maneuvers have an air of goofiness to them, but neither he nor Deku will go down without a fight. As the clock continues to wind down, La Brava plans on using her Quirk to finish the job. Will Deku be able to stop Gentle and make it back to U.A. in time?

In Summary:
Even these lighthearted times in My Hero Academia come with a dramatic polish. Gentle Criminal is dead set on making a name for himself and teaching the heroes a lesson. For Deku, the smiles of Eri and his classmates are too important for some internet troll to tear down. If the school festival is to go off without a hitch, this fight will be the deciding factor. We’ll see whose determination comes out on top in next week’s episode!
