The summer 2016 anime adaptation of the light novel series Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia is getting some new distribution as Kaze Deutschland has picked it up for release. The German bilingual edition will come out in two sets with the first set of six episodes due out on April 20th, 2020 and the second on May 25th, 2020. The sets are listed for around € 43.95 and will be done as separate DVD and Blu-ray editions as well.
The series is being directed by Hiroyuki Furukawa based on the scripts coming from Yasutomo Yamada. KanaMiyai is serving as the character designer for the series and it’s being produced at Production IMS. Keita Hagino, Yousuke Itou, Kana Miyai and Kazua Moramae are working as the chief animation directors for the show.
The opening theme song is miele paradisio from Iori Nomizu.
The cast includes Ayaka Kimura, Hikaru Isshiki, Ichigo Momoi, Rino Kawashima, Kenji Akabane as Kizuna Hida, Akari Kageyama as Aine Chidorigafuchi, Juri Nagatsuma as Hayuru Himekawa, Chinatsu Akasaki as Julicia Farandole, Rika Kinugawa as Reiri Hida, Hina Kino as Silvia Silkcut, Iori Nomizu as Kei Shikina and Kazusa Aranami as Momo Kurumizawa.
The original novel series by Masamune Kuji began back in February 2014 and finished with thirteen volumes in 2018.
Plot concept: Hida Kizuna possesses the HHG (Heart Hybrid Gear) ability, but it is not strong enough to make him particularly important. His older sister calls him to transfer to a strategic defense school, where many of the students (many of which are large-breasted girls) use their HHG abilities to fight invaders from another world while wearing extremely skimpy pilot outfits. Kizuna’s fighting ability doesn’t measure up, but his sister has another plan; getting the girls to have erotic experiences with Kizuna, so that it will allow them to replenish their energy or power-up. It looks like his new school life is going to be full of embarrassment!
