“Nero Reminisces… Part Two”

What They Say:
In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!

Secré had so much fun reminiscing last week that she had to do it again! Sarcasm aside, we already knew what to expect from this episode. Yup, more recap. But as I said last week, I’m okay with it. Those animators need a break and they honestly deserve it. That being said, this episode basically recaps everything starting from the reincarnation of the elves up until the defeat of the devil. Black Clover was great during this time, wasn’t it? I particularly want to go back and watch Episode #100. We also got a cute moment at the start of the episode where Secré in bird form is watching a young Asta and Yuno pledge that they will become the Wizard King. Do you guys think the series will end with one of them becoming the Wizard King? Just something to think about.

The recap covers a lot of episodes so I’ll just leave links to the reviews for some of my favorites – Black Clover Episode #100, Black Clover #108, and Black Clover #119.

In Summary:
Secré is finally done reminiscing! Well, I’m pretty sure at least. Again, this recap episode was expected. Nothing surprising here. I hope the animators got a good rest at least! It seems like in the next episode the Black Bulls are going to rebuild their hideout. Oh yeah, I forgot that got destroyed. I just want to note that I’m not currently caught up with the Black Clover manga but the comments for this episode say that the preview for next week’s episode shows content that’s not in it. I guess we’re getting anime original content? That’s not necessarily a bad thing but we’ll just have to wait and see.
