I’m filing this under the realm of studios, even mini-studios like Lucasfilm, put a lot of things into development that could end up anywhere or nowhere at all.

It’s being reported that J.D. Dillard of the film Sleight and writer Matt Owens, who worked on Luke Cage and Agents of SHIELD, are working on a development for Lucasfilm and Star Wars. The focus is on the Sith planet of Exogol from the Rise of Skywalker, which could have it tie into the Knights of Ren that are currently getting their origin told in the Star Wars: Kylo Ren Marvel Comics miniseries.

At this point, the project hasn’t been set for how it’ll play out, whether it’ll be a theatrical feature or something for the Disney+ service.

Lucasfilm has a number of different projects in various states of development with various creatives and some have fallen out of favor while nothing has moved forward other than the couple of Disney+ projects with Cassian Andor, more Mandalorian, and the Obi-wan Kenobi series.
