The summer 2018 season series Jashin-chan Dropkick, aka Dropkick on My Devil, is getting itself a second season as the home video release hit the numbers it needed for it to be produced previously. We learned back in June that the second season will be titled Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash and that it’s planned for a spring 2020 debut. While we’re still waiting on a date for it, the Japanese site has updated to reveal a new key visual below that shows the growing population of the cast. Additionally, it was revealed that halca is on board to sing the opening song “Toki Toshite violence” for the new season.

The first season of the series was directed by Hikaru Sato based on the series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who worked on the scripts with Momoko Murakami. Makoto Koga worked on the character designs with studio Nomad handling the production.

The Japanese cast includes Aina Suzuki as Jashin-chan, Nichika Omori as Yurine Hanazono, Miyu Kubota as Medusa, Yurie Kozakai as Pekora, Chiaki Omigawa as Minos, Rico Sasaki as Poporon, Riho Iida as Persephone the Second, Natsuko Hara as Mei Tachibana, Kazusa Aranami as Yusa, Miko Terada as Kōji, MAO as Bete, Nanami Yamashita as Kyon-Kyon, and Minami Tanaka as  Kyon-Kyon’s older sister, Oneechan.

The property comes from manga creator Yukiwo that began in spring 2012 through the online Comic Meteor site and in print in the spring of 2014 with over nine volumes so far.

Plot Concept: Jashin-chan Dropkick is a violent slapstick comedy about a delusional gothic lolita, Yurine, who summons a demon girl with the tail of a cobra, Jashin-chan. They’ll have to live together until Yurine finds a way to sent Jashin-chan back to hell, or until Jashin-chan kills Yurine.
