It's taken a few years but we're closing in on it!

We learned back in the summer of 2018 with the fifth volume of So I’m a Spider, So What? that an anime adaptation of the property was in the works. The production is still definitely working through everything but we don’t have a season for it yet – and neither does Crunchyroll. That hasn’t stopped them from picking it up for simulcast rights, however, and they’re going to bring it out when it does arrive this year. Availability for it is set for North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East.

Check out the subtitled teaser below.

Aoi Yuki is set to star.

It comes from the novels by Okina Baba and Tsukasa Kiryu. The manga adaptation is produced by Asahiro Kakashi.

Plot Concept:  I’m gonna survive, just watch me!

I was your average, everyday high-school girl, but now I’ve been reborn in a magical world…as a spider?! Wait–this isn’t how these stories are supposed to go! Can I get a do-over? …No? But how am I supposed to survive in this big, scary dungeon as one of the weakest monsters? It’s “every spider for herself” in here! I gotta figure out the rules to this QUICK, or I’ll have to kiss my short second life goodbye…
