The winter 2020 anime series Heya Camp is a spin-off from Yuru Camp and it now has its home video releases scheduled. The short-form series is being done as a single DVD or Blu-ray that arrives on May 27th, 2020. The DVD is priced at 8,800 yen and the Blu-ray at 9,800 yen for the 60 minutes/twelve episode run. It’ll come with a booklet and a special episode along with promos, commercials, and a digest version of the 2019 Yuru Camp Concert.
Masato Jinbo will be directing while Mutsumi Ito will be writing the scripts. Mutsumi Sasaki is serving as the character designer and chief animation director.
Asaka is performing the show’s theme song “The Sunshower” for the short.
Yoshiaki Kyougoku directed the first season based on the series composition by Jin Tanaka. C-Station worked on the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Nao Touyama as Rin Shima, Yumiri Hanamori as Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Sayuri Hara as Chiaki Oogaki, Aki Toyosaki as Aoi Inuyama, Rie Takahashi as Ena Saitou, Marina Inoue as Sakura Kagamihara, and Akio Ootsuka as the narrator.
The manga began in May 2015 in Japan while Yen Press has picked up the series for North American release beginning in 2018.
Plot Concept: The story revolves around the camping adventures of Rin and Nadeshiko who met each other to see Mt. Fuji.
