The winter and summer 2020 anime series A3! got underway normally back in January when it launched but by the time the fourth episode was supposed to hit we ended up with a couple of delays. Delays that kept increasing as we haven’t had a new episode since the third one landed. Now, the official site has confirmed that the remain episodes are going to be pushed out to April or possibly lately. It’s likely that they’re negotiating for a slot as part of the spring season – which are get filled up early with lots of planning – so that they can build a backlog and fix whatever issues are going on. There was some citing of the coronavrius making its way outside of China and causing problems, but nothing that was really clear.
Naturally, all home video releases will be re-solicited later.
The series will be directed by Keisuke Shinohara based on the series composition by Naoki Hayashi. Mariko Komatsu is handling the character designs and serving as the chief animation director with P.A. Works and Studio 3Hz handling the animation production.
With a two-cour plan set for it, the official site has now rolled out a new key visual that gives us a look at the main group together as a whole, which is coming up soon. The first cour is set for the winter 2020 season while the second is a summer 2020 season.
The series features the opening theme song “Act! Addict! Actors!” by A3ders! and the ending theme song “HOME” by Spring.
