It’s fresh and fun in a mild and relaxing way that makes me smile a lot.

“Both of Us, Back in the Day”

What They Say:
The Outdoor Activities Club, Aka, the Outclub has 3 members. In the countryside of Yamanashi Prefecture, there’s a high school named Motosu High School. Go even further to one of the school buildings and you’ll find a very laid-back outdoor club that uses one corner of the classroom as their club room. Kagamihara Nadeshiko finally wants to kill some time in their club room, but then Ohgaki Chiaki and Inuyama Aoi suddenly announce that they’re all going on a trip. The girls enjoy the various local treats as they travel around, but where in the world is the end destination for this trip?!

As much as I’ve been enjoying Room Camp I know I’m missing things by not watching the main series that I’m still holding out hope for a home video release for. That said, it’s definitely easy to enjoy as we just get slice of life cuteness from the girls, with them continuing their journey for stamps. This one has them remembering not that long ago before they were as close as they are now. That takes them back to events like a fire festival, spending time under cherry trees, and some first meetings as well that built friendships. Just enjoying some of the small things like seeing where they live is delightful, both now and even as little kids. It’s weird to say even vending machines can be fascinating but when they’re few and far between in your own world…

In Summary:
Room Camp is still light on actual plot but that’s not an issue for a series like this. We’re here to spend time with these friends and enjoy their light little journey in-between the bigger main series that they exist in. It’s fresh and fun in a mild and relaxing way that makes me smile a lot. The animation continues to be great and we get a good amount of material within three minutes as their stamp journey continues.
