It delivers just enough naughtiness to it that it’ll get you ready for a good hentai encounter.

Always listen to your co-workers warnings.

Originally serialized in Comic Bavel from the March 2020 installment, Strong Trip is a four-page story from creator Pyon-Kti, who has about a dozen other works on the service. I’ve not explored the color side of what FAKKU has nor the short-form stories like this as I’ve preferred to stick to the stories of the twenty-plus pages. But I figured it was worth taking the plunge once in a while, just like short-form anime, to see what it’s like. Pyon-Kti’s artwork is definitely the appeal here, as it is for most hentai, but it feels even more so when you get short stories like this. The character designs are really appealing, I loved the cute versions of the characters from the workspace, and it’s still really rare for me to read any color manga that when I do like this I really love the way it comes across and the quality of it.

The story is cute enough as relatively new employee Chiaki was told upon joining the company that one of the things he must never do is go drinking with his boss, Makino. He managed to avoid that for some time but when they were on a business trip that required an overnight stay, he ended up getting drunk and doing karaoke with her – though nervous about the uncertainty of it. That it turns out that she’s very aggressive and sexual likely wasn’t what he was thinking but Makino goes all out on him over the couple of pages we get here. With the flashback mixed in to give it the minor context we need, you can see how she’s certainly feeling good and her aggression comes across as very sensual as she pursues and conquers the naive Makino. Pyon-Kti is able to deliver a whole lot of skin, glasses, and kimono’s into the story so that even with just four pages, it provides more than enough to tantalize and rev some engines.

In Summary
It’s easy to keep expectations low when you have just four pages of material. But I’ve felt the same with the anime shorts and there have been series and episodes that use the limit to fantastic results and the same can happen with manga. Strong Trip is a cute little tale that puts our couple into an amusing spot and the new hire to understand the warnings in full far too late. It’s got some great artwork to it that really hits a sweet spot even if the story itself is pretty basic. The dialogue is fun, the pacing and layouts are solid, and it delivers just enough naughtiness to it that it’ll get you ready for a good hentai encounter.
