Originally appearing in the December 2019 installment of Comic Bavel, this chapter comes from the Hiroshiki and clocks in at twenty pages. They’ve been producing in the magazine since 2015 and there are nine other chapters on FAKKU to check out from them. This was my first experience with their work and while I thoroughly enjoyed the setup and the artwork, the story fell apart a bit more than halfway through. I’m likely to check out more of their work and really checking the tags but they’re a bit loose on this one depending on your interpretation. There’s some really appealing artwork here that makes a good chunk of the chapter work.
The story focuses on married couple Chisa and Nobu as they engage with their first livestream. While it’s playful and fun at first, she’s surprised by how far Nobu is going with it but gets pretty turned on by the whole experience, especially the compliments that she likely hasn’t heard from her husband in a while. She’s game for another round of this the next day but he’s heading off for a trip for work for several days so there’s no help to be had there. While she wants to do some livestreaming with him again she ends up discovering solo streaming and that just ramps everything up for her pretty well. The attention and compliments are really turning her on and she gets more and more daring with each time. And when some goes share their own stream with her, well, it heightens her arousal all the more and it becomes a pretty good circle.
Chisa actually gets pretty daring with this as she gets the suggestion for some outdoor play. But she livestreams this instead of a recording and when she accidentally captures the name of the park that she’s in, it turns into an open invite to some less that desirable men. With them bringing their own cameras and closing in on her, what we get tagged is a netorase scene but is essentially a rape scene as she doesn’t give any consent at all. She may later when her husband is there and we get the netorase element to it, but the prior piece is highly uncomfortable because of her resisting, saying now, and pushing back as much as she can. It’s one reason I’m still wary of the tags we get for chapters since it’s not tagged improperly here but just isn’t tagged enough for what it really has.
In Summary
I definitely like Hiroshiki’s artwork and the enthusiasm aspect of the opening pages was a big hook that drew me into the chapter. But once it gets underway more with what it’s doing it takes a darker turn that doesn’t work for me at all. Which just means I need to be more selective about their work in the future while hoping there’s less of the wrong stuff in it.
