We learned about the Calamity of the Zombie Girl original net anime project back in April 2018 and it saw some streaming back in summer 2018. Since then? Not a heck of a lot. UK distributor Anime Limited is gearing up to release it on Blu-ray, however, with a planned February 17th, 2020 debut direct or the 24th through other retailers. Priced at £19.99, it looks to have just the 80-minute feature in its original Japanese language with English subtitles only. no extras are listed for it at the moment either.
The project was directed by Hideaki Iwami with scripts by Kenichi Kanemaki. Junichi Takaoka is handling the character designs and is serving as the chief animation director with GONZO and Stingray producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Saori Hayami as Euphrosyne Studion, Yui Ogura as Alma V, Tomokazu Sugita as Syuichiro Takanashi, Ryoko Shiraishi as Mako Takanashi, Miyuki Sawashiro as Sayaka Kamoshida, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Masahiro Abe, M.A.O as Yui Minagawa, Yurika Kubo Noriko Sudo, Takahiro Miwa as Hiroshi Azuma, and Mugihito as Miyake.
The show is based on the light novel series Aru Zombie Shojo no Sainan by Ryo Ikehata. It began in 2012 (with an anime adaptation originally announced back then as well).

Plot Concept: On a university campus where most students are out for summer vacation, five students sneak into the library storage to look for treasure. What they find however are a pair of female mummies from Italy.
One of the students, Sayaka, rips open one of the mummies and takes out a stone which empowers the mummies, giving them super strength and eternal life. Having stolen their “stone of life”, the two mummies awaken and ferociously attempt to retrieve what was once theirs.
The only way for the students to escape is to find a way to kill the zombie girls… but will they be able to survive?
