The Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow saw its Japanese debut last year and a home video release in Japan as well. Now, Australian distributor Madman Entertainment has announced a May 27th, 2020 debut for their home video release for it. The film is priced at $34.95 from them and will be a bilingual Blu-ray-only release. It’ll feature the original Japanese language trailers as well as the photo sessions as extras.
Animated by Sunrise, the TV series was directed by Kazuo Sakai based on the series composition from Jukki Hanada. Yuhei Murota worked on the character designs for it.
The Aquors cast includes Inami Anju as Chika Takami, Rikako Aida as Riko Sakurauchi, Nanaka Suwa as Kanan Matsuura, Arisa Komiya as Dia Kurosawa, Shuka Saito as You Watanabe, Aika Kobayashi as Yoshiko Tsushima, Kanako Takatsuki as Hanamaru Kunikida, Aina Suzuki as Mari Ohara and Ai Furihata as Ruby Kurosawa.
Plot concept: Aqours reigned over all in Love Live, the last time they would be representing Uranohoshi Girls’ High School. Now, the first and second-year students are preparing for life at their new school–only to face a litany of unexpected trouble! Most alarming of all, the third-year students have set off on a graduation trip–only to have gone missing! As the group’s members drift apart, they quickly realize just how much they mean to each other. What will Aqours do to compel themselves to take the next step forward?
