The winter 2020 anime adaptation based on the light novel series of the same name with Itai no wa Iya nano de Bōgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu, which translates to All points are divided to VIT because a painful one isn’t liked, is known simply as BOFURI. Kadokawa is handling the home video releases in Japan and they’ve set a familiar schedule for it. The twelve-episode series is getting a three-volume release that begins on March 25th, 2020. The DVDs are priced at 12,100 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 14,300 yen. Check out the full schedule below!
Shin Oonuma is directing with Mirai Minato based on the series composition by Fumihiko Shimo. Kazuya Hirata is handling the character designs with Silver Link working on the animation production.
The cast includes Kaede Hondo as Maple, Ruriko Noguchi on board to play Sally, and Satomi Arai as Kanade. The cast also includes Saori Hayami as Kasumi, Ai Kakuma as May, Nanaka Suwa as Yui, Noriaki Sugiyama as Kuromu, and Satomi Satou as Iz.
The English dub is directed by Natalie Hoover based on the dub scripts by Kristen McGuire. The cast includes Jad Saxton as Risa/Sally, Megan Shipman as Kaede/Maple, Anthony Bowling as Kuromu, Caitlin Glass as Iz, and Lindsay Seidel as Frederica.
The original work from Yuumikan began in 2016 and has seven volumes in print out as of this month. A manga spinoff was launched in the spring of 2018 in Comp Ace by Jiro Oimoto.

Plot Concept: The series focuses on Kaede Honjō, who is invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a virtual reality MMO game with her. While Kaede doesn’t dislike games, what she really, truly dislikes is being in pain. She creates a character named Maple, and decides to put all her points in VIT to minimize pain. As a result, she moves slowly, can’t use magic, and even a rabbit can get the best of her. But as it turns out, she acquires a skill known as “Absolute Defense” as a result of her pumping points into VIT, as well as a “Counter Skill” that works against special moves. Now, with her ability to nullify all damage, she goes on adventures.
