Rising from the dead, Higurashi – When They Cry is coming back as we learned earlier this month from a Twitter account that’s been dead since 2017. The official site has now revealed some o the returning cast for the project that’s still not too clear yet with Soichiro Hoshi as Keiichi Maebara and Mai Nakahara as Rena Ryugu. Those are definitely good gets to return, though we hope more will be returning as well.
The previous teaser video revealed that Akio Watanabe is working on the character designs and that studio Passione is handling the animation for it.
The game spawned the first two-cour anime series back in 2006 and it’s had multiple projects and games since then.
The social media side also shared the key visual to the right from Akio Watanabe.
