Based on the song by Vocaloid producer rerulili and the novel series by Minato Tonami that adapted it into something larger, the fall 2019 anime series Young Disease Outburst Boy is getting its home video releases handled by Kadokawa. The twelve-episode series is getting a four-volume release that began on December 25th, 2019 where the DVDs are priced at 8,000 yen each and the Blu-rays at 9,000 yen each. The second volume has just come out and we’ve now got a good look at the packaging and cover for the set below!
The project has Kazuya Ichikawa directing based on the series composition by Midori Gotou. Yusa Matsuura worked on the character designs with Studio DEEN producing the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Chinatsu Akasaki as Mizuki Hijiri, Daiki Yamashita as Yamato Noda, Shugo Nakamura as Tomoki Takashima, Hideaki Kabumoto as Kazuhiro Nakamura, Junya Enoki as Rei Tsukumo, and Rikuya Yasuda as Futaba Mikuriya.

Plot Concept: At her new school, Mizuki Hijiri has a fateful encounter with boys suffering from chūnibyō (adolescent delusions of grandeur). There is Noda who dreams of becoming a hero, the tragically handsome otaku Takashima who only likes 2D girls, Nakamura the supposedly “reincarnated” angel or devil, and the self-professed string-puller Tsukumo.
