Dark Horse Comics and Twentieth Century had a good run with the Alien 3 original screenplay adaptation they brought to comics previously as it adds another evergreen book to put on shelves. They’re now going back to the beginning with the first film as they’ve scheduled Alien: The Original Screenplay. Here, writer Cristiano Seixas, artist Guilherme Balbi (Predators, Superboy), and colorist Candice Han, will adapt from the screenplay written by Dan O’Bannon.
Alien: The Original Screenplay presents an alternate line of events initially conceived by Dan O’Bannon before it became the Alien motion picture manuscript. It’s scheduled for a five-issue run that begins on April 22nd, 2020 – just days before Alien Day!
Plot Concept: En route to back to Earth, the crew of the starship Snark intercepts an alien transmission. Their investigation leads them to a desolate planetoid, a crashed alien spacecraft, and a pyramidic structure of unknown origin. Then the terror begins . . .
