What They Say:
Actions speak louder than words in this spin-off of the absurd and raunchy Prison School! With lovingly detailed art by ReDrop, no task is too small (and no shirt too big) for Meiko Shiraki, the domineering yet kind vice president of the Shadow Student Council!

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Meiko Shiraki is the vice president of the Shadow Student Council at Hachimitsu Academy. It ain’t an easy gig, that’s for sure. But she’s always giving it her all! You’ve got to admire that. That being said, she does often find herself in lots of…sticky situations.

First and foremost, let me be perfectly clear that this manga is very raunchy. Prison School fans shouldn’t be surprised by this. However, if you’re not a fan, you’ve just been warned. This definitely ain’t for kids. This is your last chance to turn back! Continuing in 3…2…1. Okay, for those of you still reading, I know why you’re here. I know it, you know it. You can’t fool me. You’re just here to see the hard work that the vice president puts in every day. She’s just so diligent and efficient. Yup, that’s the only reason. Oh, I guess there’s also a lot of fanservice and lewd comedy. That’s just a bonus though, right? It’s clearly not the main reason why people would read this manga.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, giggity, let’s get to some actual reviewing. As I stated earlier, Meiko gets herself into a lot of sticky situations, literally. She sweats so freaking much! How many gallons does she sweat every day? It’s ridiculous. It’s no wonder why she’s always sticky. Maybe she wouldn’t sweat so much if she didn’t do all the crazy sh!t that she does in this manga. In the first chapter, she’s taking remedial lessons. She tries to solve a math problem…by using her body and tying herself up with rope. Do you know what happens? She starts sweating profusely and ends up stuck in a suggestive position. Also, she fails the exam. This could have been avoided, just saying. There’s another instance where she forgets her coin purse while eating at a restaurant. Instead of looking for it, she decides to take the mega-curry challenge in order to eat free. She has to eat a huge bowl of curry in ten minutes. To her credit, she manages to do it. However, she sweats up a storm and collapses onto the ground in a provocative pose. Yeah, that happens a lot. It could have been prevented!

To be fair, it’s not always Meiko’s fault. There’s a chapter where she’s walking three male dogs after school. That actually seems perfectly normal. But then those dogs spot a female dog and chase after it. What happens next? I think you know. She tries to stop them from running away and starts sweating a lot. She gets entangled in all of their leashes and ends up in a risque posture. In another chapter, she has to give a blood sample at school. The only problem is that she is absolutely terrified of needles. Hey, lots of people are scared of needles. There’s no need to be ashamed. As you can imagine, when it’s her turn, she starts sweating and panting like crazy. She’s relieved once it’s all over. Although, she’s also lying on the ground in a puddle of her own sweat with her skirt lifted up. It seems the nurses are used to this and were on standby ready to clean up the mess!

There are a few times where the vice president doesn’t fall into that schtick. In one instance, she finds herself at a boxing gym and is challenged by the world champion. It seems a bit unfair, doesn’t it? That’s because it is unfair…for the champ! Meiko absolutely destroys him and becomes the new champ. She gets offers to become a professional boxer but that’s not what she wants. She was just here for the free fitness trial! She’s informed that the fitness gym is actually across the street, haha. This was probably my favorite chapter. There’s another time where she’s simply relaxing at the beach and decides to take a swim. However, she soon finds herself wrestling with a shark, naked! As we already know, the vice president is a force to be reckoned with. The shark never stood a chance. She’s about to finish it off until she sees that it has two kids. She lets the shark off the hook, this time. Such a kind vice president!

I do have to mention that Meiko doesn’t utter a single word in the entire manga. You read that right. Well, she may have spoken once or twice in the side panels but those don’t count. The only sounds she makes are from sighing, breathing heavily, groaning, and moaning. Basically, the artwork does all the talking. And let me tell you, it paints quite an alluring picture. The art is extremely detailed and it’s amazing. Simply put, ReDrop is a master of sexy drawings. If you’re just here for the fanservice, then you definitely got your money’s worth.

Lastly, I am a fan of all the movie references and puns in this manga. The back cover features Meiko dressed in a yellow jumpsuit and posing like Uma Thurman from Kill Bill. I love those movies. Almost every chapter title is a movie pun or referencing a film. For example, the first chapter is entitled “The Fault in Remedial Lessons” and it’s a pun on the movie The Fault in Our Stars. I didn’t catch all the references after reading the manga but luckily there’s a page at the end of it that points them all out. I certainly appreciated that!

In Summary:
If you’re a Prison School fan looking for some Meiko fanservice, this is the manga for you. If you’re a fan of ecchi and dirty humor, this manga is also for you. It’s been a while since I’ve read something that had no dialogue and the art did all the talking. It was quite refreshing. The artwork was incredibly detailed and eyegasmic. Is eyegasmic even a word? It doesn’t matter, I’m still using it. I do think the comedy did suffer a bit without the dialogue. The chapters were hit or miss for me, too. I also wish that Meiko had interacted with Hana and Mari more. She only interacted with them once. Even ReDrop voices regret not being able to draw more of those moments at the end of the manga. Overall, it was still a lot of raunchy fun.
