VAP Schedules ‘Kimi dake ni Motetainda’ Anime Feature Film DVD/BD Releases

The original anime project Kimi dake ni Motetainda saw an October 25th, 2019 debut theatrically and now the home video release side is set. The film is scheduled for a February 26th, 2020 debut where the DVD is priced at 5,000 yen and the Blu-ray at 6,000 yen. Each release comes with a bonus CD of the original soundtrack. On-disc extras look to be just the trailers/promos for the film.

The project has Shun Kudo directing based on the screenplay by Mari Okada. Yamako worked as the character designer with Signal.MD handling the animation production.

The Japanese cast includes Hiroshi Ishibashi, Keito Takahashi, Rui Tabuchi, Rikiya Tomizono, Tomoya Fukui, Sōma Saitō as Tokio Furuta, Kouki Uchiyama as Shigekazu Ashida, Rikiya Tomizono as Kōtarō Tojima, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Aki Sahashi, Yuichiro Umehara as Shun Gotōda, Yui Ishikawa as Sakiko “Horiko” Horinomiya, and Yuuki Kaji as the host.

Plot Concept: The youth story film will center on a group of five handsome high school boys who each have traits that bring them down. Through certain events, they are led by a girl on their quest to win the “Motemen Koshien” (Handsome Men at Koshien) contest.
