The fall 2019 anime series originally had the itle of The Denizens of Kabuki-chō that Production I.G. then revealed that it will go by the name of Kabukicho Sherlock. With the overseas pickups, the fall 2019 season that Funimation has been releasing under the title Case File nº221: Kabukicho. Kadokawa previously set the home video release for this split-cour series with it set to begin on January 24th, 2020. Ahead of that, we previously had the first bit of packaging for it with a look at the cover artwork and now we’ve got a look at the full spread itself. The series will get four sets with six episodes each where the DVDs are priced at 16,000 yen each and the Blu-rays at 18,000 yen each. Check the full schedule below.

The show has Ai Yoshimura directing it with Taku Kishimoto handling the scripting side. Toshiyuki Yahai is on board with the character designs and Production I.G. on the anime production.
The previously announced Japanese cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi as Sherlock, Yūichi Nakamura as John H. Watson, Seiichirō Yamashita as James Moriarty, Sōma Saitō as Fuyuto Kyogoku, Nao Tōyama as Mary Morstan, Mariko Higashiuchi as Lucy Morstan, Yutaka Aoyama as Michel Belmont, Tatsumaru Tachibana as Toratarō Kobayashi, Seiichirō Yamashita as James Moriarty, and Junichi Suwabe as Mrs. Hudson.
The series features the opening and closing sequences “CAPTURE” by EGO-WRAPPIN’ and “Hyakuoku Kounen (百億光年)” by Lozareena respectively.
