The summer 2019 original anime series Kochoki: Wakaki Nobunaga has had its simulcast run brought to Hulu during that period but now that things have wrapped up with the simuldub and some exclusivity given to Funimation’s site, it’s now showing up there. The full twelve episode season is available for streaming for US audiences through the service.
The project had Noriyuki Abe directing based on the scripts by Kaoru Sawada. Atsuko Nakajima worked on the character designs with Studio DEEN handling the animation production.
The opening theme song for the series is “Shisso” by Rib and the closing theme song “Kiba to Tsubasa” from May’n.
The Japanese cast includes Yūsuke Kobayashi as Oda Nobunaga, Yūma Uchida as Ikeda Tsuneoki, Kaito Ishikawa as Oda Nobuyuki, Yumiri Hanamori as Kichō, Takuma Terashima as Maeda Toshiie, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Takugen Soon, Junya Enoki as Takigawa Kazumasu, Manami Numakura as Ohana, Nao Tōyama as Oichi, Minori Suzuki as Ikoma Kitsuno, Makoto Takahashi as Sassa Narimasa, Tomoaki Maeno as Murai Sadakatsu, Satoshi Hino as Tsuzuki Kurando, Taiten Kusunoki as Oda Nobuhide, Hidenari Ugaki as Shibata Katsuie, Mugihito as Hirate Masahide, Kenichirou Matsuda as Hayashi Hidesada, Kousuke Toriumi as Hayashi Michitomo, Ryohei Kimura as Sakuma Nobumori, Atsushi Tamaru as Sakuma Morishige, Ayumu Murase as Oda Hidetaka, Masako Katsuki as Dota Gozen, and Tesshō Genda as Saitō Dōsan.

Plot Concept: Kippoushi (Nobunaga), surrounded by castle intrigue, is caught aiding a band of homeless youth who are stealing his father’s goods. As his father is about to shoot them, Nobunaga intervenes. His father releases the gang into Nobunaga’s care.
