Angelino is a wide-eyed black humanoid creature living in Dead Meat City. A seedy, gang-ridden city populated by humans, demons, and anthropomorphic animals.

The Japanese and French co-production of MFKZ received a home video release in Japan earlier this month and now its getting some new overseas love through Universal and GKIDS. The film has made its way onto Netflix now here. It’s available in English with closed-captions only.

The film was directed by Shojiro Nishimi with Studio 4°C handling the animation production.

Plot Concept: Angelino is a wide-eyed black humanoid creature living in Dead Meat City. A seedy, gang-ridden city populated by humans, demons, and anthropomorphic animals. Angelino was just riding along on his scooter while making pizza deliveries until the site of a beautiful woman distracted him and ends up ramming into another vehicle. After surviving his near-fatal accident, Angelino starts to “see” monstrous shadows cast from ordinary-looking bystanders that no else notices. He also notices a mysterious group of men in black suits spying on him from a distance. With the help of his roommate Vinz, Angelino must survive all hostile threats that come at him in order to learn the truth of who the men in black are.
