Sun Takeda’s ‘Gleipnir’ Anime Adaptation Reveals Cast

Sun Takeda’s manga series Gleipnir has beenon track for an anime adaptation since March 2019 and has updated fairly regularly with new tidbits. The show is set for the spring 2020season and a new update has landed with the arrival of the seventh volume of the manga. The primary piece is that the main cast was revealed with:

  • Natsuki Hanae as Shuichi Kagaya
  • Nao Tōyama as Kurea Aoki
  • Kana Hanazawa as Erena Aoki

The adaptation has Kazuhiro Yoneda directing based on the series composition by Shinichi Inotsume. Takahiro Kishida is working on the character designs with PINE JAM handling the animation production.

The manga from Sun Takeda began in 2015 and has six volumes out as of March 2019. The manga was picked up for release by Kodansha Comics in digital form last July in English.

Plot Concept: Shuichi Kagaya is an ordinary high school kid in a boring little town. But when a beautiful classmate is caught in a warehouse fire, he discovers a mysterious power: he can transform into a furry dog with an oversized revolver and a zipper down his back. He saves the girl’s life, sharing his secret with her. But she’s searching for the sister who killed her family, and she doesn’t care how degrading it gets: she will use Shuichi to accomplish her mission…
