
The fall 2019 anime series Beastars is getting its home video releases handled by TOHO and they’ve set a good schedule for it. The twelve-episode series that aired first on Netflix is getting a four-volume release in Japan beginning on March 18th, 2020. Both formats are listed as limited editions with the DVDs priced at 5,800 yen and the Blu-rays at 6,800 yen. Check the full schedule below.
Shinichi Matsumi is directing based on the scripts by Nanami Higuchi. Nao Ootsu is handling the character designs with studio Orange handling the animation production.
The full cast includes Chikahiro Kobayashi as Regoshi, Sayaka Senbongi as Haru, Yuuki Ono as Louis, Atsumi Tanezaki as Juno, Junya Enoki as Jack, Akio Ohtsuka as Gouhin, Takeo Ōtsuka as Collot, Yoshiyuki Shimozuma as Voss, Fukushi Ochiai as Sanou, Yūma Uchida as Miguno, Naoto Kobayashi as Durham, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kai, Takaaki Torashima as Bill, Sayumi Watabe as Els, Genki Muro as Dom, Yūichi Iguchi as Kibi, Yuko Hara as Shiira, Ikuto Kanemasa as Aoba, Akane Ōchi as Ellen, Hibiku Yamamura as Mizuchi, Sakura Andou as Legom, Mitsuaki Hoshino as Mayor, and Kenyuu Horiuchi as Oguma.
The manga comes from Paru Itagaki which began in 2016 in Weekly Shonen Champion and has twelve volumes out.
The opening song is “Wild Side” by ALI while the ending theme song is “Le zoo” by YURiKA.
