Kazuki and Manami have been dating for a while now, but things don’t seem to be going that good for Manami. Kazuki may have been the king of sleaze before, but now he is a perfect gentleman and Manami desperately wishes he would pull some sleazy stuff on her. Kazuki hasn’t tried to kiss her or even hold her hand. Even Tsukasa’s ‘Super Love Plan’ and all its titillating antics fail to get even the smallest rise out of him. Mugi on the other hand gets to oil down Yuu, as per Tsukasa’s orders, and he has to find a quite place to sit down afterwards. Tsukasa’s crazy ideas always make me laugh and her telling Kazuki right up front that Manami wants to get freaky is nothing short of hilarious. All this after her ‘Super Love Plan’ fails of course. Turns out, Kazuki has some good reasons for not trying to get in Manami’s pants. What a good guy. He had better at least make a few moves or she’s going to end up looking somewhere else.
This volume is funnier than most in this series. Tsukasa’s antics always entertain and I have to give Kobayashi some credit for coming up with a scenario to get a girl’s top off that I have not seen before. While cleaning, Yuu accidentally flicks a spider into the air and the cobweb attached to the spider swings it back around until the little guy slides down the back of her shirt. Pretty slick, and a very believable disrobing situation. Good for Mugi, bad for his face after Yuu’s backhand.
As for Mugi and Yuu’s relationship, it takes another meandering trip through he streets of Osaka after Tsukasa catches a flight back to America. Their time in Osaka makes no real progression for Mugi, its just cute. The comedic value kicks up a couple of notches when they return home and find a naked 23 year old in Mugi’s shower. Turns out she is Mugi’s new mom and she has a HUGE rack. Her name is Mako and she is a happy high-energy person who quickly takes to making jokes about herself and Mugi. Every guy in town is ready to kill Mugi when they see Mako, and Yuu is obviously jealous. A night of celebration leads to cosplaying, strip paper-rock-scissors, and a naked Yuu. I’m really going to like Mako, especially after Mugi’s dad takes off and leaves her with Mugi and Yuu for the next month. I can’t wait to see where this goes!
