The fall 2018 anime series Tsurune: Kazemai High School School’s Archery Club is getting its home video release handled by Sentai Filmworks in North America but the streaming side is from HIDIVE. While we await the January 8th, 2020 release on Blu-ray where it’ll be a bilingual release, you can also check out the dub on HIDIVE now. The folks at HIDIVE have put together a fun little bonus dubbing piece where you can see Bryson Baugus put in a bit of work with his role in the series – and then get a little excited about lunch!
The show was directed by Takuya Yamamura based on the series composition by Michiko Yokote. Miku Kadowaki worked on the character designs while Kyoto Animation handled the animation production.
The Japanese cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Ryōhei Yamanouchi, Aoi Ichikawa as Seiya Takehaya, Yūto Uemura as Minato Narumiya, Shougo Yano as Nanao Kisaragi, Kaito Ishikawa as Kaito Onogi, Shintarō Asanuma as Masaki Takagawa, and Kensho Ono as Shū Fujimura.
The property is based on the novel by Kotoko Ayano with artwork by Chinatsu Morimoto that came out in December 2016.

Plot Concept: Becoming a great archer requires more than just a steady hand and a good eye. It takes focus; the ability to find exactly the right moment to release the bowstring and send your arrow streaking to its target. As a child, Minato Narumiya became entranced with kyudo, the Japanese art of archery, but after years of study, he suddenly quit after an incident during a middle school tournament. Now, his high school’s Kyudo Club has approached him, and between the encouragement of the coach and several classmates he used to practice with, Minato is reluctantly convinced to pick up the bow again. But is the timing right? Is Minato really ready for competition, or is he destined to miss the bullseye again? It’s time to take aim and meet the challenge of becoming the best in TSURUNE!
