The winter 2017 anime series Gabriel Dropout is having its home video release plans handled by Media Factory and they’ve set a pretty good release plan for it. The show is now getting its first box set collection release that will pack in everything from the originals, including extras, along with a new drama CD. It’ll arrive on February 26th, 2020 and will be priced at 24,000 yen. The twelve-episode series originally saw a three-volume release that began on March 24th, 2017 where the DVDs are priced at 11,000 yen each while the Blu-rays are priced at 13,000 yen each as they have four episodes per volume.
The anime adaptation has set Masahiko Oota to direct based on the series composition by Takashi Aoshima. Katsuhiro Kumagai is handling the character designs and Doga Kobo is handling the animation.
The Japanese cast includes Miyu Tomita as Gabriel, Saori Onishi as Vene, Naomi Ozora as Satania and Kana Hanazawa as Raphiel.
The work began back in 2014 as serialized in Comic Dengeki Daioh “g” and has three volumes to date so far. The series is Ukami’s second after the 2012 single volume release of Seishun Ouka Bu.
Plot concept: Chief Angel has come to Earth! However, she became so used to the life on Earth that she skips school and keeps on playing online games, thus into self-destruction. It’s a school comedy that Gabriel turns into a lazy angel!
